Allergy and Asthma Research Centre (AARC) is an indigenous nonprofit able organization working towards development and research in the field of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. This organization, was formed in the early Nineties, having been conceptualized by the Late Prof. (Dr) Sachin Choudhuri, MB. PhD. a renowned clinical Immunologist and Late Brig. (Dr) Nirendra Chandra Das, MB. DARCP&S (Lon), FICS, FCCP (USA) a Vir Chakra awardee and also a renowned Pulmonologist.
Currently led by Dr Arijit Das, a renowned medical practitioner in Kolkata, and supported by his distinguished colleagues- Dr Saibal Moitra, Dr Aratrika Das, Dr Sambosamrat Samajdar, Dr Ayan Sikdar, Dr Ritabrata Mitra, and Dr Surojit Chatterjee- the Research Centre benefits from invaluable guidance provided by Prof. Gautam Saha from the Zoology Department at the University of Calcutta, Dr Jayati Das from Shri Shikshayatan College, and Mr Sandip Kumar Goswami, CEO of NCD Immunomedicare Pvt. Ltd. The organisation was privileged to have the late Prof. Sunirmal Chanda of the Centre for Study of Man and Environment (CSME) as a mentor and former president. The centre aims to enhance awareness and understanding of allergic disorders, their manifestations, and ultimate resolutions among the general public.
